Jacob Jan Boerma

In the fall of 2017 I became involved with Boutique Hotel Parc Broekhuizen and its restaurant, Voltaire. The team of this restaurant* is under the daily management of Arturo Dalhuisen. Arturo comes from my team at Restaurant De Leest and cooked his first Michelin Star in The White Room in Amsterdam before joining Voltaire in January 2022. Next to Arturo is host Arnold Zwartkruis. Together with them, I see it as my task to make Voltaire a special restaurant with a kitchen that fits the rural environment. Not without success, because at the end of 2018 Voltaire received a Michelin star.
In 2020, a special 2nd restaurant opened at Parc Broekhuizen, Bistro LOF, located in the old farm. The kitchen here is led by Ewout Eleveld. In 2022, LOF has been awarded a Bib Gourmand. In the meantime, a third kitchen brigade has been added: Peter Paul van den Breemen, as Chef, is responsible for all events organized on the estate.
After an unforgettable 1st edition of Chefs at the Parc in May 2019, we now have the opportunity to organize the 2nd edition in May 2023. An opportunity that we will of course seize with both hands!


An international gourmet festival – we call it Chefs at the Parc – where a unique number of Michelin stars will pass in review in 4 days. Such a spectacle is not something that the Netherlands already knows. But it is something that I think the Netherlands is ready for. There is so much talent in the (star) kitchens here, there is so much knowledge among the (star) chefs… it’s time to share this with colleagues from all over the world. And guests who appreciate the value of special star creations. An international gourmet festival ideal opportunity to enjoy it all together.
I myself have many years of experience at various festivals. Over the past 10 years I have been invited by numerous chefs all over the world to cook with them for their guests. I have always really enjoyed the time I spent with them at those once-in-a-lifetime events. Because that’s how every new festival feels to me. I am therefore very proud that I can now invite all those chef friends to the Netherlands. That we can now show our cooking skills together at a unique location in the Netherlands. Just as I was allowed and able to do that with them. I can’t wait to host them… and I hope our guests will experience the same as I have felt for years!”
